The Jirapa skin's kingmakers, known as ''Tindambas,'' have unanimously endorsed Regent Naa Justice Donglabong Dinaah to succeed the late Naa Ansolee Ganaa II as the paramount chief of the Jirapa traditional area.
This endorsement makes him the 5th chief of Jirapa in over a hundred years, marking a significant milestone for the community.
''We have already come out with a successor who is Justice Naa Justice Donglabong Dinaah and will be outdoored on December 30, 2023,'' announced Anthony Doodah, a spokesperson for the Tindambas.
The kingmakers, comprising members from various royal families, including Zokyieri, Konkuoyiri, Kyobaari, Wuoyiri, Veveri Naahuyiri, Tampoe yiri, and Dau-uriyiri, declared Naa Justice Dinaah Donglabong as the preferred choice to succeed the former Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service.

Naa Justice Dinaah Donglabong, present during the announcement, displayed a mix of emotions—winking a smile and shaking his head, possibly contemplating the weight of the responsibility placed on him.
''I am humbled by the decision of the Tindanba, just as I was humbled when my senior brother and late chief Naa Ansolee Ganaa II appointed me as his personal secretary,'' stated Naa Justice.
Anticipating his upcoming role, Naa Justice expressed his commitment to reconstruct the iconic one-storey Jirapa Naa's palace, currently in ruins.
He highlighted his successful lobbying efforts that resulted in the construction of a new auditorium within 8 months and expressed confidence in rebuilding the palace with similar zeal and support.
The Jirapa Naa's palace, a 19th-century Sudanese-style architecture, used to attract tourists to the municipality. Naa Justice believes its reconstruction will boost the tourism potential of the area.

Forty-one-year-old Justice Donlabong Dinaah, a teacher by profession, is responsible for cultural and language studies at the Jirapa municipal office of the Ghana Education Service.
He learned the traditions and culture of the people while serving as the secretary to Naa Gaana Ansolee II.
The processes leading to the final funeral rites of the Late Naa Ansolee Ganaa II and the selection of a new chief kicked off almost six months after the burial.
The meticulously performed funeral rites of the late chief and eight other family members lasted for almost seven hours.
Naa Justice Donglabong Dinaah is set to be coronated on December 30, 2023, marking a new era for Jirapa under his leadership.
