Former President John Mahama is urging Ghanaians to actively engage in the district-level elections scheduled for today, December 19.
In a social media post, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer emphasized the civic responsibility of citizens to participate in the electoral process.
He stressed the significance of every vote and encouraged Ghanaians to take the district-level elections seriously.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission (EC) has affirmed its readiness for the district-level elections.
With over 66,000 candidates vying for assembly and unit committee positions, the electoral competition includes 18,755 assembly member candidates and 47,502 unit committee member candidates, summing up to 66,257 candidates.
These candidates will contest across 6,215 electoral areas spanning 216 metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies.
