There is dispute over the district level election results from the Tampoaya Electoral Area in the Nanumba South Municipality of the Northern Region.
Two people; Nanundow Alabani and Alhassan Latif contested for the slot.
Nanundow Alabani secured 600 votes while the candidate who was declared winner, Alhassan Latif, obtained 619 votes.
But Mr Nanundow is protesting the outcome; citing over-voting. Â
He insists that the results from Kpayansi L/A Primary has to be recounted.

Mr Nanundow said the number of people verified was 548 while the ballots counted were 580.
Mr Nanundow added that even though people were not supposed to vote without facial or finger print verification, electorates at Kpayansi L/A Primary polling center were allowed to vote without these verification.
"The rule was that no one can vote without either being verified facially or with their finger but that was what they did," he added.
He said his agent protested and refused to sign the results declaration forms.
Meanwhile, the issue has been referred to the Northern Regional Electoral Commission Directorate for redress.
Speaking on the issue, the Northern Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, Lucas Yiryil said they have received the complaint and will be forwarding it to their legal team for advice.
