Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has eulogised a member of his office's security detail, Mumuni Fuseini.
The late Mumuni was part of the convoy of Samira Bawumia, which collided with a bus at Ohene-Nkwata near Nobewam in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Mumuni, a member of the Close Protection Unit, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.

This morning a funeral service was conducted this morning where Dr. Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia, were observed in a solemn mood as they accompanied Munini's family.

Vice President Bawumia, expressing deep sorrow over the loss, took to Facebook to extend his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
"It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of Mumuni Fuseini, a staff in my office. He died yesterday from an accident involving a vehicle in the Convoy of the Second Lady, Hajia Samira. Fuseini was a hardworking member of the Closed Protection Unit," he wrote on Sunday.

In a solemn ceremony, the late Fuseini was laid to rest this morning in accordance with Islamic traditions.
