The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), in partnership with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, has initiated an agenda to promote business culture in the Volta Region.
The partners engaged some basic school learners on the Agenda dubbed #InvestInVolta to help younger generation imbibe the culture of investing in the home region.
The Volta/Eastern and Oti AGI Chairperson, Dela Gadzanku explained that the agenda seeks to implore people of Volta origin to establish their businesses and enterprises in the region to propel economic growth.
He said it is envisioned to create employment, enhance the livelihoods of residents, and curb rural-urban drift.
He, therefore, entreated the pupils to prioritise setting up their businesses in the Volta Region, which has proven to have great potential.
“Invest in Volta Region. When you become a future businessman, please don't take your investment to other regions, you put your investment here so that it can grow.
"We also say 'taste Volta', we should eat our local foods. We are producing a lot of food”, he stressed.

The Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa reiterated the need for indigens to invest in the region and reap the economic potentials.
Dr. Letsa who owns a business empire in the regional capital, is optimistic the region is blessed with a conducive environment to nurture businesses.
“You who want to be a farmer, put up your business here in the Volta Region so that you can become big men to help develop the region”, he advised the pupils.
The visit to the Klefe Dome and Avee Basic Schools which are in cocoa-growing communities in the Ho Municipality, saw the distribution of chocolates and exercise books to learners in both schools.
