In a bid to empower and guide the next generation towards fulfilling careers and meaningful contributions to society, the Salamta Army, a speed-up movement foundation based in the Kpando Municipality, has organized an educational career path initiative for selected basic schools in the area.
This Kpando Educational Mentorship Programme 2024 initiative, seeks to enlighten young minds and help them make informed decisions about their future paths while attending school.
Understanding the crucial role education plays in shaping individuals and society at large.
By providing career guidance and exposing students to various career options early, the Salamta Army believes they can contribute to building a skilled and knowledgeable workforce that will drive development in Kpando and beyond.
The initiative highlights the value of continuous learning and skill development in today's dynamic job market. Students are encouraged to embrace lifelong learning and adaptability, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the future workplace.
The educational career path initiative includes workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions designed to engage students and broaden their understanding of different career fields. The resource persons guide participants on essential skills that benefit themselves, their families, society, and the country as a whole.
Speaking to the media, Dr George Afeti emphasized the importance of identifying the purpose of attending school beyond mere attendance and making something out of oneself for the benefit of everyone.
Human resource management expert, Esther Hebuame, reminded parents to be resilient and care for their wards right from childhood to adulthood for them to become meaningful to society in the future.
Jemima Osai, the project coordinator, explained that the initiative seeks to enlighten the youth in communities, broadening their educational horizon for informed career choices that will benefit them in the future.
