Actress Fella Makafui has firmly denied any romantic involvement with rapper D-Black, dispelling rumours linking them together.
The speculations surged after rapper Medikal announced his separation from the actress, to whom he had been married for four years.
Additionally, when a video of D-Black and Fella Makafui smoking in a club went viral on social media with some blogs associating the couple’s separation with her ‘relations’ with the rapper.
Medikal, clearly unhappy with the situation, has expressed his sentiments, calling D Black a fake industry player. He emphasised that he could never do such a thing to D-Black out of respect.
However, addressing the rumours on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Fella Makafui clarified that D-Black was nothing but a brother.
She noted that she would rather people stop the speculations than disrespect the rapper's family.
“I don’t allow negative stories to break me. They are not true so why would you allow something false that is being said about you to break you? How would a D Black story break me?”
“Let’s not disrespect D Black and his family. I don’t want to channel my energy into this whole thing. He is like my big brother. I went there with my friends to chill. There were thousands of people in the club,” she told the host Andy Dosty.
Fella Makafui explained that she went to the club with her friends who had visited from Nigeria.
“I hit my brother [D-Black] and he said he will host us and give us free drinks and that’s all. It’s sad that it became unfortunate,” she noted.
When asked to respond to Medikal’s reaction to the video, the actress refused stating she does not want to dive into other issues.
“There are certain things that I wouldn’t wanna talk about. I find so much peace and time with my business than anything,” she said.
