Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus had his goal against Freiburg named the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League Goal of the Season.
The Europa League official account X announced it on Wednesday afternoon by posting the goal on social media, describing it as insane.

The goal caused a lot of buzz on social media after the 23-year-old scored a goal that has been compared with some of the best in the world.
With the Hammers 3-0 up, the Black Stars attacking midfielder collected the ball inside his side's half and went on a Lionel Messi-esque solo run, beating three Freiburg players before smashing it into the net.
Moments later, he scored a second goal by lashing it into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
He finished the Europa League with five goals from nine matches, delivering many entertaining performances.
The statistics giants, WhoScored, named Mohammed Kudus their Europa League Goal of the Season.
Overall, Mohammed Kudus has had an incredible first season with West Ham, scoring 14 goals in all competitions.
