Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School is in high hopes of defending their Zonal championship trophy as they join twenty others in the Goil Plc Zonal Championship for the Northern region.
The schools are set to clinch the bragging rights and coveted trophy in five different contests in the first leg of the championship.
The first contest will see a clash of four regions featuring Upper East’s Navrongo SHS, Upper West’s Wa SHS, Northeast’s Walewale SHS and Savannah’s Damongo SHS.

Northern School of Business, Zebilla SHTS, Tolon SHS and the pride of the East, Bolgatanga SHS will square up in the second contest for the day.
It will be a battle of the Upper West region against the Northern region as Queen of Peace SHS, St. Francis of Assisi Girls and Nandom SHS clash with Tamale Senior High School.
The schools will lock horns in the third contest.
Meanwhile, the fourth contest is a battle of the seminarians as Notre Dame Seminary SHS determines to defeat St. Charles Minor Seminary alongside Ghana SHS - Tamale, and Yendi SHS.
The final contest for the day will be an academic smack down as St. Francis Xavier SHS clashes with defending champions, Tamale Islamic Science SHS.
The duo will be competing against Bolgatanga Girls SHS, greenhorns Sirigu Integrated SHS and a private school, Regentropfen SHS.

Winners from the five contests together with a top runner up will battle at the semi-final stage in two contests.
The two finalists from this stage and a top runner-up will subsequently lock horns for the coveted trophy at the grand-finale.
The schools are with sheer determination to prevail.
