Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama, has praised Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye for his significant achievements during his tenure at the Ministry of Health, despite having assumed the role recently.
In his remarks at the Government Assurances Committee meeting on Thursday, August 1, Mr Mahama emphasised Okoe-Boye's dedication to improving Ghana's healthcare system and his commitment to addressing the nation's pressing health challenges.
Mahama noted that under Okoe-Boye's leadership, the Ministry of Health has seen numerous advancements, particularly in infrastructure and healthcare delivery.
He highlighted the construction and renovation of several health facilities, which have significantly enhanced the accessibility and quality of healthcare services across the country.
According to him, these efforts have made a tangible difference in the lives of many Ghanaians since Okoe-Boye assumed his role.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, Mr Mahama commended Okoe-Boye for his focus on public health initiatives.
He pointed out the successful implementation of various programmes aimed at combating diseases and promoting health awareness.
Mr Mahama stressed that these initiatives have contributed to the overall well-being of the population and have strengthened the country's healthcare system.
"It is our hope that as a committee all the red flags that have been raised and the good achievements you have made in your short time at the Ministry you bring them together and make sure that the Assurances Committee's expectations of what you’re supposed to present would be presented to the Chairman and the committee members," he said.
