The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has assured sustainable development under the government of flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, if elected.
This follows the endorsement of Mr Mahama from traditional authorities across the Volta Region, with particular mention of the Paramount Chief of the Anfoega Traditional Area Togbe Tepre Hodo IV.
A press release signed by the NDC Volta Regional Communications Officer, Kafui Agbleze acknowledged the support of the Volta Region to the opposition party adding that “this endorsement underscores the trust and confidence that the chiefs and people of the Volta Region have in the leadership of the NDC”.
“We are confident that, under the leadership of our Flagbearer, Ghana will experience a resurgence of sustainable development and prosperity for all," he further stated.
Mr. Agbleze entreated the people of the Volta Region to continue to believe in the NDC and John Mahama as the right candidate to “restore hope, stability, and progress to Ghana”.
“The Volta Region has always been a beacon of support for the NDC, and we are confident that this support will continue to grow as we work together to build a country, we all anticipate”, he added.
Togbe Tepre Hodo IV reaffirmed his endorsement of Mr. Mahama during the latter’s #Mahama4Change2024 Campaign tour of the Volta Region, between 13th and 16th of August, 2024.
He emphasised that John Mahama represents the hope of the Volta Region and Ghana, and also highly praised the NDC's proposed 24 Hour Economy Policy that promises to curb unemployment.
