As gaming continues to dominate the entertainment landscape in Ghana, the Gaming Commission of Ghana has taken a significant step to ensure the industry's growth is both sustainable and safe for its users.
Celebrating 18 years since its establishment, the Commission has launched the first-ever Responsible Gaming Month, a campaign designed to raise awareness about responsible gaming practices and promote safer gaming environments.
The CEO of the gaming Commission, Peter Mireku revealed that With the advent of technology, gaming has evolved into a widespread activity, with users across Ghana engaging in various gaming platforms.
The rapid growth has brought about the need for greater oversight and the promotion of responsible gaming practices.

“The gaming industry has evolved significantly due to the rise of technology. It’s essential that we protect our users and promote safer gaming environments,”He said.
The awareness month which will be slated for September of every year will educate players and stakeholders on responsible gaming practices.
“We want to make sure that as the industry grows, it does so in a way that benefits everyone” he added.
As gaming continues to gain popularity across Ghana, the launch of Responsible Gaming Month marks an important milestone in the Gaming Commission’s efforts to safeguard the industry.
By focusing on responsible practices and the well-being of users, the Commission is paving the way for a sustainable and thriving gaming ecosystem.
