The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced the publication of ballot statistics to facilitate the printing of ballots for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
This important update was made in a press statement released on Monday, October 14, and was signed by a Deputy EC Chairperson, Samuel Tettey.
According to the EC, it aims to ensure that the electoral process runs smoothly and efficiently by providing these critical statistics ahead of the elections.
In the announcement, the Commission stated that it considered the total number of voters on the Provisional Voter's Register (PVR) while also accounting for a two per cent increase.
This approach is intended to ensure that there are sufficient ballots available for all eligible voters, reflecting the anticipated rise in voter registration and participation.
By taking this proactive step, the EC said it is working to minimise any potential shortages or discrepancies on election day.
While the Commission is encouraging total voter turnout for the upcoming elections, it recognizes that not every registered voter will cast their ballot.
Below is the full ballot statistics
