The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Dzanie Ashie Street in East Legon, Accra, which claimed the lives of two individuals.
This comes after two cars caught fire in an accident at East Legon. The gory accident is reported to have been caused by a minor who rammed a Jaguar into an Acura at top speed sparking fire instantly.

According to the police, its “preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect driver, identified as Salifu Amoako, rammed his vehicle into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon. Both vehicles caught fire and burnt beyond recognition.”
Authorities confirmed that Amoako, along with other survivors, is receiving medical treatment.

One of the victims who sustained minor injuries has also been treated and discharged.
The police have not disclosed the identities of the deceased at this time.
They however noted the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
