The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has confidently expressed that he will lead his party to victory in the December 7 general elections.
During a rally at Ketu North in the Volta Region, a stronghold of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Bawumia boldly declared that the NPP’s track record in government positions them for success.
In his address, Dr Bawumia emphasised the significant achievements of the NPP over the past eight years, under both President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration and his own role as Vice President.
He stressed that these accomplishments far surpass those of former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s candidate for the upcoming election.
Highlighting key policies such as the Free SHS program, infrastructure development, and digital transformation initiatives, Dr Bawumia told supporters that the NPP’s governance has brought tangible improvements to the lives of Ghanaians, something the NDC could not deliver during Mahama’s time in office.
Dr Bawumia further explained that his confidence in victory stems from his extensive campaign tours, having visited over 200 constituencies across the country.
He noted the positive reception he has received, particularly in regions where the NDC previously dominated.
The Vice President concluded his speech by assuring the crowd that the NPP is committed to continuing their efforts to enhance the country’s development, urging them to support his candidacy for the presidency in the December polls.
“I have been touring over 200 constituencies in Ghana and I can tell you from what I have seen today, I know that we are winning this election. You will hear by the midnight of December that NPP has won this election.”
