Residents of Nkwanta South in the Oti Region welcomed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s digitisation policy during his campaign tour of the area.
The enthusiastic reception by the residents is a testament to the community’s eagerness for technological advancement and progress.
The Municipality has been making strides in development, with the Assembly focusing on key areas such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.
Some citizens believed that the introduction of digitization policies would further boost the local economy and improve the quality of life for residents.
Dr Bawumia, the Vice President, and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been championing digitization as a tool for accelerated development across the country.
The Vice President during his campaign tour highlighted the benefits of his digitization, including enhanced efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.
“From digital payment systems to online services, these innovations have the potential to transform the way businesses and individuals operate in the area,” he said.
He also pledged to fix the deplorable Kpassa-Nkwanta road of the Eastern Corridor.
Dr Bawumia also said the NPP government had delivered most of their promises including the Oti region from Volta and these are evidence, more than the NDC in government.
The people believed that the policy was an encouraging sign for the region’s growth and development as the Municipality continues to evolve.
