Contrary to claims that there is lack of unity among gospel musicians, Perez Musik has intimated that proponents of this notion lack knowledge of the Bible.
The gospel musician told GhanaWeb that what rather pertains among the gospel musicians is "diversity". To support his assertion, he made reference to how the apostles went their separate ways after meeting Jesus Christ.
"If they say that, then they've not really read their Bible. Yes. Because even the apostles, even after they were done with Jesus Christ, they didn't come together to start a church or start a ministry together. Everybody went their way. When Paul came, Paul didn't have a ministry with Peter. Everybody went their way.
So I don't think it's division. I think it's a diversion. These are two different things. It's diversion. Because we are all meant to reach different audiences at different times and in different places. So there's diversity. So that's why you may think that there's division. There's no division for me. I think it's diverse. And if we can respect each other in that manner, we are good," he said.
Perez Musik made this statement on the sidelines of the third edition of the Made by Grace concert at the Accra International Conference Centre on November 3, 2024.
Perez is known for songs such as Hewale Lalaa, Blema Tesaa, Majieo Yi, Kaafo and Walatse.
