Ghana’s U-17 women’s team, the Black Maidens, will face Benin and Burkina Faso in Group A of the inaugural WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup.
The draw, held at the WAFU Zone B headquarters in Côte d’Ivoire, marks a significant moment for the Black Maidens as they return to international competition after years of inactivity.
The tournament is a key part of their rebuilding efforts ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

To prepare, the Maidens have undergone an intensive five-week training camp in Bibiani, supported by Asante Gold Corporation.
The competition will be hosted in Ghana from December 12 to 26, 2024.
