Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has called on Ghanaians to step out in large numbers and vote massively for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in Saturday's election.
Addressing a crowd of NPP supporters at the party's final rally in Accra, Kufuor urged the youth to make a wise and informed decision by supporting Dr Bawumia, highlighting that his leadership would create opportunities that would positively shape the future of the younger generation.
He emphasized that Dr Bawumia’s vision for the country aligns with the aspirations of the youth and the nation’s development.
Kufuor also appealed for unity within the party, urging members to forgive past grievances and come together to support Dr Bawumia’s candidacy.
He underscored the importance of cohesion within the NPP to ensure a successful electoral outcome.
During his address at the University of Ghana Sports Park on 5 December, Kufuor stressed the country’s need for a leader who understands the transformative power of digitalisation.
He pointed out that digital innovation could revolutionise Ghana’s economy and development. “The future is in your hands,” Mr Kufuor told the crowd, urging them to make the right choice. “Vote for Dr Bawumia on Saturday, and you will see how Ghana will move forward.”
He concluded by reaffirming that it is only the NPP that has the vision and capability to drive the nation’s progress.
