Voting has officially concluded across the 276 constituencies in the December 7, 2024, presidential and parliamentary elections.
The elections, which commenced early Saturday morning, saw citizens enthusiastically turning out at their designated polling stations to exercise their right to elect the country’s next president and parliamentary representatives for the 9th Parliament.

The Electoral Commission (EC) has described the electoral process as peaceful, transparent, and credible.
However, reports from various constituencies indicate isolated violent incidents and several electoral malpractices.
Both the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have accused each other of attempts to manipulate the electoral outcome.

As polls have now closed, sorting and counting of ballot papers are currently underway.
