Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has lost her seat in the just-ended general elections.
The Communications Minister was defeated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Rev. Kweku Addo.
The clergyman won the parliamentary election with 31,866 votes while Mrs Owusu-Ekuful trailed with 26,575.
Rev. Dr. Kweku Addo was born and raised in Dansoman.
After completing his secondary education, Rev. Dr. Addo traveled to Europe and the United States of America to pursue higher education and gain valuable professional experience.
Upon his return, he joined his mother in managing the school and eventually became its current director.
In addition to being an accomplished entrepreneur and real estate broker, Rev. Dr. Addo is a clergyman known for his humility, pacifism, and compassionate nature.
His lifelong dedication to learning and service to both God and humanity inspired him to pursue advanced theological studies, earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree after his ordination.
