President-elect John Dramani Mahama has strongly condemned recent attacks on state offices and installations.
In an address to the nation, Mr Mahama called for an immediate end to the violent acts reported in various parts of the country.
He acknowledged that transitions between administrations could create a sense of power vacuum, leading some individuals to act in their own interests rather than in the national interest.
"I've received reports of attacks on state offices and installations. While it's unclear who is behind these attacks, I condemn them in no uncertain terms. These acts must cease immediately," Mr Mahama declared.

The President-elect reiterated his earlier message from his post-declaration speech, urging the youth not to channel their frustrations into criminal activities. Instead, he encouraged them to focus on rebuilding the nation positively.

"I urge the youth not to vent their frustration in criminal enterprise. Instead, they must channel their anger and frustration into the positive enterprise of resetting and rebuilding our beloved nation," he stated.
He also called on all Ghanaians to remain calm and avoid actions that could undermine the country’s democratic institutions noting that "We have fought hard for change, and now is the time to demonstrate our commitment to rebuilding the Ghana we want through unity and understanding."
Mr Mahama urged President Akufo-Addo and security agencies to act decisively to address the ongoing acts of lawlessness.
