Ghana's Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has urged Ghanaian fans to come out in large numbers to support the team in their crucial encounter against Nigeria on Sunday, December 21.
The Black Galaxies, Ghana's home-based national team, will face Nigeria in a first leg playoff tie for a place at the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN) in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Coach Dramani emphasized the importance of fan support. "The fans should come in their numbers and support us,"
Dramani also expressed confidence in his team's preparedness, stating, "we are fully ready for Sunday and ready for the game. Technically, tactically, and well-oriented, we will continue to refine our strategies and make adjustments as needed."
The reverse fixture will be played in Nigeria, a week later.
This will be the second consecutive year that the Black Galaxies face Nigeria in the playoff round.
Ghana previously beat Nigeria on penalties two years ago to secure a spot in the last edition of the CHAN tournament, before suffering a quarterfinal exited at the tournament.
