The Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), says his outfit has not received any petition from the courts preventing them from undertaking the ongoing re-collation exercise.
This follows re-collation of ballot paper which was an order by the Accra High Court ruling on December 21, directing the EC to finalise the election results for the Tema Central, Nsawam-Adoagyir, Ablekuma North, Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, and Okaikwei Central constituencies.
Addressing the press on Saturday December 21, held at the EC’s Greater Accra Regional Office Dr Benjamin Bannor-Bio, refuted claims of receiving any petition from the Supreme Court to avert the re-collation process.
"I must tell you that we do not have any knowledge of such a petition," he remarked.
He further stressed on the claim of not being served any petition from the SC, the exercise is still underway.
