Ghanaian comedian Lekzy DeComic has received plaudits for his outstanding performance as MC at OB Amponsah's comedy special which was held at the Bukom Boxing Arena on December 21, 2024.
The stand-up comedian did an excellent job by keeping the audience engaged and enthralled throughout the show. His ability to handle some challenges that occurred at the beginning of the show, has earned him a resounding applause from patrons of the event.
Expressing his admiration for Lekzy's sterling delivery on the night, one of the patrons, Kwaku Arhin took to Facebook to write: "Great MC'ing by all standards, Lekzy." Another Facebook user, Nana Cyruz Aboagye also wrote: MC Lekzy DC , OMG this dude made me laugh non stop. Bro, you killed it."
According to Lekzy DeComic, although he is largely known for stand-up comedy, he also has a forte in handling events as an MC.

"That may have been the first time some people saw me MC an event. It is something I usually do and anytime I have played that role, I have gotten a lot of positive reviews. What makes me stand out from a lot of MCs is not just the humour bit, but how I am able to drive the show regardless of any problems that may arise," he said.
He has hosted events such as Basket Mouth Unprovoked, Taste of Ghana, HP Boot Camp, 3Music Awards, Western Union End of Year Dinner, Allaince Francaise Insurance End of Year Dinner, MTN's soiree for marketing department, First Bank Ghana End of Year Dinner, among others.
Lekzy's lustrous emceeing performance was not the only highlight of the 10th anniversary comedy event of Ghanaian optometrist and comedian OB Amponsah. History was made. OB filled the 4,000 capacity Bukom Boxing Arena; an unprecedented achievement in Ghana's comedy space.
The event saw a number of Ghanaian comedians on stage, performing to the admiration of patrons. A lot of their comedy materials were based on the December 7 election, giving the people something they can easily relate to.
There were amazing acts by DKB, Jacinta, Ebenezer Dwomoh, Ranzy Ray, Smile, Kwaku40, Kojo Pjay, Oojoo, Papa Yaw, Putogo, Foster Romanus, Jerry Ashinyo, Kwame Obed, Canadian comedian Emerson, Miriam Kirk from the USA and Johnny Pula from Botswana.
OB Amponsah had the audience in stitches with hilarious jokes. His themes ranged from politics, relationship, sex, to some outlandish subjects that cannot broached in ordinary discussions. What sets OB apart from a number of contemporaries is his boldness to traverse slippery areas of themes - and he brought that to bear in his presentation on the night.

He put up a show that was befitting of his 10th anniversary, a milestone that is difficult to chalk in Ghana's entertainment space.
Also in attendance were dignitaries such as David Dontoh, Ama K Abebrese, Timothy Bentum and Ken Fiati.
