The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reiterated its commitment to regrouping and rebuilding after its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the press on Monday, December 23, the National Chairman Stephen Ntim said that the party’s journey toward recovery and renewal begins immediately.
“This is a difficult time for us as a party, but we are resilient people. We must and we will rise again from this defeat. We will be reorganizing ourselves for the battles of tomorrow.
"This means we cannot give up. We must engage the restructuring process with all the energies we can master together to get the elephant trumpeting again,” he said.
Mr. Ntim acknowledged the pain and disappointment felt across the party but called on members to remain steadfast in their dedication to the NPP’s mission. He urged all members, from polling stations to the national leadership, to engage wholeheartedly in the restructuring process.
The NPP leadership has outlined a plan to establish an election review committee in January 2025.
This committee will evaluate the factors that led to the party’s defeat and recommend reforms to strengthen its internal structures. Key areas for review include decision-making processes and the mechanisms for electing party executives and candidates.
