The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasised that victory over the NPP can never be taken for granted as it required relentless effort.
According to him, during their journey to winning the 2024 election, the NDC knew they needed to work super hard.
Speaking on Joynews Desk, on December 28, he stated that in every election what matters most is when you have your people supporting you.
“When we are fighting a battle, especially with the NPP, we can never at any point take it for granted that it is going to be a done deal...so every step of the way we knew we needed to work super hard," he stated.
He added, “We started sensing more and more that the mood of the country is right and the people (Ghanaians) wanted a change and so they knew it was going to be a good day."
He concluded that they moved with optimism not being complacent believing that they had the country’s support.
