President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to welcome President-elect John Dramani Mahama to the Jubilee House on Monday, 6th January 2025, for a familiarisation tour.
This visit, part of the transition process, comes ahead of the formal handing-over ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, 7th January, 2025.
The move reflects Ghana’s tradition of peaceful political transitions, underscoring the stability of its democracy.
Accompanying the President-elect will be Vice President-elect, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who will also use the opportunity to acquaint herself with the facilities and environment of her forthcoming official workspace.
