The Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has commended the accomplishments of the Minority caucus during the 8th Parliament of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
He said this during the dissolution of the 8th Parliament on 6 January 2025.
Dr Ato Forson noted that, despite various challenges, the Minority was steadfast in its commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the Ghanaian populace.
He highlighted their resilience in navigating a turbulent political landscape while holding the executive to account.
Reflecting on the hurdles faced, the Minority Leader pointed out their relentless efforts to oppose policies and decisions that posed risks to the country’s economic stability.
These efforts, he asserted, were instrumental in safeguarding Ghana’s interests during a critical period.
“Every chapter of this journey has been marked by its own twists and turns, highs and lows,” he remarked. “In the end, the NDC majority caucus delivered and lived up to the expectations of the people.”
