Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has declared that the administration of John Dramani Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang marks a restoration of dignity to the presidency.
Speaking ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Mahama, Dr Omane Boamah asserted, “John Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s presidency embodies a revival of integrity and honour for the office of the president. It is under their leadership that the 24-hour economy will truly take shape.”
He further emphasised the incoming government’s commitment to its flagship 24-Hour Economy Policy, a cornerstone of their agenda to revitalise Ghana’s economic landscape.
Dr Omane Boamah highlighted the initiative as central to the new administration’s vision for progress and innovation.
President-elect Mahama has already outlined a robust team to fulfil his government’s promises. Notable appointments include Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff and Augustus “Goosie” Tanoh, a respected economist and statesman, who will lead the design and implementation of the 24-Hour Economy Policy.
In an interview at the inauguration ceremony, Dr Omane Boamah elaborated on the administration’s ambition to transform Ghana’s economy into a dynamic, round-the-clock system.
He underscored the policy’s potential to drive productivity, generate employment, and enhance service delivery across all sectors.
Praising Goosie Tanoh’s expertise, Dr Boamah remarked, “Goosie Tanoh is a leader of exceptional intellect and unassailable credibility.
His profound knowledge and experience will ensure the successful execution of this transformative initiative, which is set to redefine Ghana’s economic future.”
