Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of deliberately undermining his party’s efforts to ensure the smooth running of government business.
In an interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, January 29, Afenyo-Markin explained that the NDC had adopted a confrontational stance aimed at frustrating the operations of the government, particularly during parliamentary proceedings.
“At a point, the NDC put up a posture because they wanted to win at all costs to disturb government business and frustrate us,” Afenyo-Markin remarked.
“Even situations where [it was just about] laying of papers, they would tell you that there would be chaos.”
He further noted that the NDC’s tactics were designed to create unnecessary disruption and make it difficult for the government to function effectively, reflecting their determination to gain power at any cost.
