Ghana defender, Tariq Lamptey, has emerged as a transfer target for Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam just days before the January transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old has scored five times in 114 appearances for Brighton since joining from Chelsea in 2020.
The wing-back has six months remaining on his current contract, allowing him to negotiate with other clubs before the summer window opens.
Although Lamptey has put in a solid performance this season, he hasn’t been a regular starter for manager Fabian Hurzeler’s squad, prompting him to explore other opportunities.
According to reports from the Daily mail, Ajax are prepared to submit a £1.5 million offer for the Ghana international.
In the meantime, Lamptey played the full match at the City Ground on Saturday, as Brighton suffered a crushing 7-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Manager Hurzeler positioned the Black Stars wing-back as a left-back.
