Sources within the National Security have confirmed to Adomonline the return of all six cars seized from Lord Oblitey Commey, former Director of Operations at the Jubilee House during a midnight raid at his Dansoman house.
According to the sources, the vehicles were returned within 24 hours of their seizure, following instructions from the government's highest echelons.
Reports say the vehicles’ release was due to the government’s anger about how some men in civilian and military clothing carried out the seizure

Subsequently, instructions from top government officials who were unhappy with how the vehicles were taken, occasioned the release of all six vehicles.
Mr Commey confirmed the return of all six vehicles when he was contacted, saying he was grateful to senior members of the government for their role in ensuring the timely release of the cars.
The midnight seizure was reportedly carried out on Friday, January 31, 2025, but as of Saturday, February 1, 2025, all vehicles belonging to Mr Commey that were taken away in the raid had been returned.
The swift return of the vehicles suggests that the government was keen to distance itself from the incident.
Lord Commey is a key member of the New Patriotic Party and has had a distinguished career in Ghanaian politics, serving as National Organizer, National Youth Organizer, Director of Operations at the Jubilee House as well as Director of Operations for the Nana Akufo-Addo campaigns in 2012 and 2016.
