Asante Kotoko has hired Samuel Sarfo Duku as the new Communication Director, with his role beginning "effective immediately."
His appointment "reinforces" the club's commitment to ensuring clarity and transparency across all aspects of communication.
"This appointment is part of the club’s broader strategy to enhance its operations, and we are confident that Mr. Sarfo Duku’s expertise will be instrumental in driving our communication efforts forward," Kotoko said on club's website.
The move marks a return for Duku, who previously served as Head of Legal Affairs in 2019 before subsequently resigning.
His appointment comes on the back of the Porcupines' decision to withdraw from the Ghana Premier League.
This follows the death of staunch supporter Francis Frimpong "Pooley" in Nsoatre who was stabbed during the Premier League clash between Kotoko and Nsoatreman.
Meanwhile, The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare held talks with Kotoko on the issue and called for a meeting with country's football governing body on measures to clamp down on hooliganism at match centres.
