Two people have died in an accident at the Opoku Transport intersection on the Tech-Oforikrom stretch on the Kumasi-Accra highway.
The accident occurred at 4.30am on Tuesday.
A Ford transit 'trotro' bus crashed into an OA-branded commercial bus at the junction.
The driver and conductor 'mate' of the trotro were killed in the crash. Some injuries were also recorded in the fully-loaded OA bus.
Eyewitness accounts indicate the 'trotro' driver was speeding and hit the side of the bus while negotiating a curve.
The non-functional traffic lights at the intersection are said to have been a major factor in the accident.
The incident caused temporary hold up on the busy road until the intervention of emergency services.
