Mfantsipim School has launched its 150th anniversary celebrations with an unveiling of a memorial logo. The event, held at the Ecobank Ghana PLC Head Office in Accra, marked the beginning of a year-long series of activities to honor the school's rich legacy of academic excellence, discipline, and leadership.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering, including government officials, alumni, students, and staff.
Established in 1876 by the Methodist Church, Mfantsipim School has produced a good number of illustrious individuals in various fields, including politics, business, academia, and sports.

The 150th anniversary logo, designed to reflect the school’s motto, Dwen Hwe Kan (loosely translated as ‘to be generational thinkers or to have foresight”), integrates elements representing knowledge, unity, and progress.
Abusuapayin of Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA), Moses Kwesi Baiden Jnr., reiterated the school’s immense contributions to secondary education for development.
“ We are willing to show leadership, and continue the establishment of the principles that has built Ghana and made Mfantsipim great in education”, he added.

"Chairman of Mfantsipim Planning Committee, Captain John Yamoah, gave a breakdown of activities lined-up for the anniversary. He observed that the 150th anniversary logo will also provide job opportunities for persons in the production of memorabilia and others.
“ The 150th-anniversary celebration, themed Legacy of Excellence, Leadership and Service to Inspire the Future, will feature a series of events, including a grand anniversary durbar, a fundraising dinner, and lectures and symposia.”, he stated.
The 50th anniversary celebrations sets the tone for the school to inspire future generations to strive for greatness.
