The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has asked the Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs (NHC), to use his expertise in public service to help further raise the House's image. 

The Asantehene also advised him to work together with the President of the House, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi, to ensure that the chieftaincy institution was positioned properly to play its role effectively in the development of the nation. 

Otumfuo Osei Tutu made the call, when the Buipewura, paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia palace in Kumasi, on Wednesday. 

He was accompanied by some Imams and elders from the Gonjaland.  

The visit was for the Buipewura to show gratitude to the Asantehene, for his immense support and prayers, which helped in his election as the Vice President of the NHC.  

Otumfuo Osei Tutu, lauded the chief for his immense contribution to the growth and development of Gonjaland and urged him not to relent on his efforts to improve the living conditions of his people.  

The Asantehene was of the firm believe that the Buipewura would continue to work to bring his expertise to bear on the work of the NHC. 

Buipewura Jinapor, who is also the Paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional Area, said he could not hesitate to show gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, for his immense support and advice. 

He prayed for long life for the King and asked him to continue to support him while he discharged his duties as the Vice President of the NHC.
