President John Mahama will host the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, for a three-day state visit to Ghana from April 8 to 10.
According to a press statement released on Friday, April 4, this will be the first official visit to Ghana by a Czech President since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ghana and Czechoslovakia in October 1959.
The visit marks a significant milestone in the diplomatic ties between the two countries and will be the first State Visit hosted by President Mahama since his return to office in January 2025.
During his stay, President Pavel is expected to engage in bilateral talks with President Mahama to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation.

Also, President Pavel will address a business forum aimed at strengthening economic ties between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
As part of his visit, President Pavel will inaugurate a Czech-funded health facility, demonstrating the ongoing collaboration between the two nations in the development sector.
He will also visit significant landmarks, including the historic Osu Castle and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, to deepen his understanding of Ghana's rich heritage.
In a gesture of goodwill, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in honour of President Pavel and his delegation, further solidifying the growing relationship between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
