Estonia has praised the leadership of King Mohammed VI and Morocco’s growing role as a beacon of peace, stability, and development in Africa and beyond.
At a press conference in Tallinn after talks with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, Estonia’s Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna, described Morocco as a key partner in the region. He said Estonia is eager to deepen its cooperation with the Kingdom.
“Our ties with Morocco are excellent,” Tsahkna said. “We share the same desire to strengthen our partnership in all areas.”
He highlighted the Joint Declaration signed in Rabat on October 21, 2024, as a major milestone. “This document gives us a solid roadmap to grow and diversify our cooperation,” he added.
Estonia praised Morocco’s stability and its ambitious reforms under King Mohammed VI. These reforms, it said, have made Morocco a credible and strategic partner for the European Union.
Tsahkna also welcomed Morocco’s efforts to promote peace and development across Africa. He singled out major initiatives led by the King, including the Royal Initiative to give Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlantic African States Process, and the Morocco-Nigeria Gas Pipeline.
The Tallinn meeting between Bourita and Tsahkna underlined the two countries’ shared commitment to closer political and economic ties. Both ministers agreed to push forward their dialogue and work together on key regional and global issues.
