The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has launched an application portal for first-year students of public tertiary institutions in Ghana to register for financial support from the Students Loan Trust Fund under the No-Fee-Stress policy.
The No-Fee-Stress policy is a transformative, bold, and visionary initiative designed to mitigate the financial barriers that hinder Ghanaian students from accessing tertiary education.
It is a strategic investment by the government in the nation’s human capital development and future competitiveness and will catalyse Ghana's quest for accessible and inclusive higher education.
The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), in tune with its mandate to provide financial resources for the benefit of students of accredited tertiary institutions, says it is committed to the successful roll-out and implementation of this policy, according to its CEO, Dr Saajida Shiraz.
The No-Fee-Stress Portal offers a streamlined registration process, enabling students to easily provide their information and allowing the SLTF to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for government support under this policy.
The newly launched No-Fee-Stress Portal is now live and accessible via https://www.nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh and https://www.sltf.gov.gh.
The digital platform offers a simplified registration process, allowing students to submit necessary information quickly while enabling the SLTF to efficiently verify eligibility for financial assistance.
Students needing help with the registration process or additional information can contact SLTF through the helpline 0302751020 or by visiting any of its zonal offices across the country.
