The Evergreen Movement Band is calling for increased patronage and appreciation of brass band music in Ghana.
Speaking to Becky on the Evibes Musical Band Series, Band Leader Benjamin Doke expressed concern over the declining support for brass bands. He emphasized that brass bands play a vital role in promoting all genres of music, and by extension, showcasing the richness of Ghanaian music
“We need some kind of patronage. we don’t patronize the brass session of music. it’s makes us feel like we are left out so we are seeking for patronage. So people should patronize the brass music because we project the music through the brass and we can also play every genre of music,” he said.
E Vibes, the show that delves into the backgrounds of celebrated personalities excelling in their chosen fields, is focusing this season on music bands in Ghana.
Dubbed #MusicalBandSeries, the program is dedicated to celebrating and highlighting the incredible journeys of Ghanaian musical bands, showcasing their triumphs, challenges, and the bonds that keep them together.
