Karela United secured a convincing 3-1 win over Medeama SC on Matchweek 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
Alihassan Ali gave the home side the lead in the 62nd minute with a well-placed header.
The first half ended with Karela up 1-0.
Despite Medeama’s resilient defense, Abubakar Malik struck twice in quick succession, scoring in the 27th before 67th minutes, to complete a stunning brace and extend Karela’s lead.
Medeama managed to pull one back through Godknows Gzakpasu in the 68th minute, but it was too little, too late, as the match ended 3-1 in favor of Karela.
The victory provides a crucial boost for Karela United, who now sit 14th on the table with 35 points. Medeama remain in 7th place with 47 points.
