The Ketu South Police Command has launched an investigation into a bizarre incident involving a 23-year-old man, Mr Atsu Seshie, who claims his manhood shrank after being touched by an elderly man.
According to the victim, the alleged incident occurred around 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, at Atisukope, near the Ocean Hotel, close to the Aflao-Lome border.
Mr Seshie recounted that he was approached by the suspect, identified as 81-year-old Francis Quaye, who requested money from him. When he declined, the elderly man allegedly touched his shoulder.
“Right after he touched me, I felt something strange. My manhood instantly reduced in size,” Mr Seshie told news reporters after visiting the Police station.
The incident has caused widespread alarm in the community, with some residents expressing fear and uncertainty. “We now live in fear because we don’t know who the next victim might be,” said a fruit vendor who witnessed the aftermath.
Crowds gathered at the Aflao Police Station following the report, with several concerned residents demanding that immediate steps be taken to restore the young man's condition.
The victim’s mother, popularly known as Vena, confirmed the situation, stating, “There’s a noticeable difference. My son’s manhood is visibly smaller than usual.”
Police have issued a medical form to the complainant to facilitate a thorough medical examination.
Authorities have assured the public that the matter is being handled with the utmost seriousness and urged calm while investigations continue.
