The 2024/25 season of the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League was a show of resilience, teamwork, and the indomitable spirit of progress which culminated in a thrilling finale, marking a significant milestone in Ghanaian women's football with the Police Ladies FC emerging victorious, securing their first-ever league title with a 2-0 win over the formidable Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
In true We Move spirit, the final was played under heavy rainfall, but the weather did nothing to slow the energy or determination of the women on the pitch. Through muddy turf and pounding rain, the players delivered a fierce, focused performance, proving once again that nothing can stop women’s football in Ghana.
Acknowledging the resilience of the ladies, Dinah Asabea Darko, Marketing Manager for Malta Guinness, said: “Their commitment was clear, and they showed what it means to move the game forward, no matter the conditions. This partnership isn’t just about the pitch, it’s about progress. It’s about making sure the women’s game continues to grow, and that the players are supported in every way, mentally, physically, and emotionally.”
