The Divine Montessori School has secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2025 Inter-School Reading Quiz (ISRQ) after a commanding performance against Madina Cluster of Schools in the quarterfinals.
From the first round, Divine Montessori asserted their dominance, delivering strong answers and showing impressive composure. The team, made up of Akosua Dansowaa Fosuhene, Kimathi Amakye Poku Frimpong, and Pearl Adwoa Ofori, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and reading comprehension skills across the three rounds of competition.

Round 1 saw Divine Montessori taking an early lead with 24 points, leaving Madina Cluster trailing at 15 points. Though the Madina team narrowed the gap in Round 2, scoring 21 points to Divine Montessori’s 22, it was not enough to change the tide.
By the end of the final round, Divine Montessori had tallied a total of 64 points, comfortably ahead of Madina Cluster of Schools, who ended with 47.75 points.
This win makes Divine Montessori the second school to book a place in the semifinal stage of the national reading championship, following the earlier qualification of Dansoman Cluster B Schools.

With two more quarterfinal contests left to determine the full list of semifinalists, excitement continues to build around who will move one step closer to claiming the ultimate ISRQ2025 prize.
The Inter-School Reading Quiz, a national competition aimed at promoting literacy and academic excellence among schoolchildren, continues to engage students and audiences alike with high-stakes matches and inspiring performances.
