Access Bank and DHL Express Ghana have announced a strategic partnership aimed at equipping local businesses with the tools to thrive in global markets.
The collaboration, formalised at a signing ceremony in Accra, will provide tailored training, trade enablement tools, and financing solutions to unlock cross-border trade opportunities.
Regional Managing Director for DHL Ghana, Morgan Uloko, stressed the initiative's transformative potential during the signing ceremony at Access Bank Ghana's Head Office.

The partnership directly supports the government’s agenda to accelerate SME growth as a driver of national development and leverages opportunities created by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Regional Managing Director for Access Bank Ghana & Western Africa Subsidiaries, Olumide Olatunji highlighted the critical role of SMEs in Africa's economy.
Through structured capacity-building programs, trade enablement tools, and sustainable financing options, the collaboration aims to create tangible opportunities for SMEs to scale both within Africa and globally.
Key components of the initiative include export readiness training covering compliance requirements and market access strategies, sustainable financing options for business expansion, and digital tools to streamline cross-border trade processes. The programme aligns with DHL Group's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions logistics by 2050, incorporating green logistics solutions for participating SMEs.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both organizations.
The pilot phase will launch in Ghana with plans for regional expansion across West Africa.
