The 9th Edition of the Annual CEO Summit took place on May 26, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, bringing together top executives, policymakers, and business thought leaders for a day of high-level dialogue and celebration of leadership excellence.
The event, held under the theme “Reigniting Business and Economic Growth: Charting a Path Forward; Economic Diversification and Artificial Intelligence Transformation”, was focused on the future of Ghana’s economy, digital transformation, and leadership in a changing global landscape.
A key highlight of the event was the CEO Excellence Awards 2025, which recognised outstanding leaders across various industries for their contribution to growth, innovation, and transformation in Ghana’s business environment.
The awardees were featured across three categories:
- CEO of the Year Award List – recognising top-performing CEOs in sectors such as finance, energy, real estate, ICT, and manufacturing.
- Leadership Excellence List – honouring individuals who have demonstrated strategic foresight, resilience, and visionary leadership.
- Merged Categories – including executives recognised in both categories for their exceptional impact.
Notable winners included Mohamed Samara, CEO of Meridian Port Services, who received the Overall CEO of the Year – Private Sector award; Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL, named Overall Group CEO of the Year; and Shiraz Khota of SAP, honoured as Global Technology CEO of the Year (Africa and Middle East).
President John Mahama graced the summit with his presence, lending his support to the celebration of leadership and economic dialogue.
