A 20-year-old woman, Philipa Frimpong, popularly known as Yaa Baby, has been shot dead by her boyfriend at Vutedeke, a suburb of Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred in the late afternoon of Tuesday, June 10.

The suspect, identified as popular TikToker Hayford Boateng, also known as Kobby GH, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Yaa Baby sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm and was rushed to St. Martin’s Hospital in Yeji, where she was pronounced dead.

It remains unclear what led to the shooting that claimed her life.

Two of Hayford’s friends—28-year-old Kojo Emmanuel and 34-year-old Michael Kabutey—who were reportedly present at the scene, have also been taken into custody and are assisting police with investigations.
