President John Dramani Mahama will on Saturday, June 14, begin a nationwide post-election “Thank You” tour with a major rally in the Savannah Region.
The event, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the forecourt of the Jakpa Palace in Damongo, is intended to express appreciation for the region’s steadfast support during the 2024 general elections.
The tour forms part of President Mahama’s wider efforts to engage with citizens, traditional leaders, and party supporters following his return to office and the introduction of key policy initiatives.
The rally is anticipated to attract hundreds of residents from across the Savannah Region, where the President is expected to address the crowd with a message of gratitude, national unity, and a renewed commitment to inclusive development.

The visit will also provide an opportunity to reaffirm backing for the administration’s key programmes, including the 24-hour economy initiative, which the government views as vital for job creation and economic growth.
