Ghana's Rose Yeboah finished 2nd in the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Oregon over the weekend.
The 23 year old set an impressive season's best of 1.93m, and was only outdone by 2024 runner-up, Elena Kulichenko, who jumped 1.96m to claim the ultimate prize.
Yeboah has been in fine form this season, setting a new national indoor record of 1.92m back in February.
It was a sweet revenge for Kulichenko, who was beaten by Yeboah last year on count back.
Yeboah, last year, made history as the first Ghanaian female high jumper to compete in the Olympic Games, participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Yeboah was honored as the Sports Personality of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year at the 49th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards in January 2025.
